When Les Schwab Tires began expanding into Nebraska, Fremont was one of the first markets I targeted.
 

Having previously purchased land from Menards for a Les Schwab development in Moorhead, Minnesota, I knew they were often willing to sell excess land when it no longer served their long-term plans. As I studied the Fremont market, evaluated the major retail corridors, and identified potential development opportunities, I noticed that the Menards property appeared to have enough excess land for an outlot.

I reached out to Menards' real estate department, and my instincts were right. They had a pad large enough for a Les Schwab store and were open to selling it. We were able to negotiate a purchase agreement quickly.

 

When the Les Schwab real estate team toured Fremont, the site immediately stood out. It offered the visibility, access, and
surrounding retail they were looking for, and we moved through lease negotiations without any significant hurdles.

 

The transaction progressed smoothly from contract to closing, construction followed, and today the Fremont Les Schwab store is open and serving the community.
